Dominica woman kills two-y-o son
ROSEAU, Dominica (CMC) — A woman with a history of mental illness has been admitted to the Acute Psychiatric Unit after she killed her two-year-old child, police said Monday.
The police did not give details of the murder, nor the mother’s name, but said that the incident occurred in the southern village of Grand Bay on Sunday.
“The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force extends deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late infant, Gabriel Bruno,” said police public relations officer, Inspector Jno Baptiste.
He said that investigations are continuing and that a coroner’s inquest will be conducted.
