Toll discount extended, Gov’t still negotiating
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists using the North/South leg of Highway 2000 will continue to benefit from the 25 per cent discount that was given when the new road was opened in March.
The discount was for a month in the first instance, but was later extended for another month, which would have ended last Saturday.
Transport and Mining Minister, Lester ‘Mike’ Henry, says discussions with the Toll Operators are ongoing and the public will be given sufficient notice of any impending changes to the toll rates as well as operational activities.
