Thanks, JPS

The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) made good on their sponsorship of Montego Bay United’s (MBU) staging of Group 3 of the Caribbean Football Union Club Championships with the presentation of a cheque for $90,000 at Wespow Park on Tuesday. Sandra Christie, COO for MBU, thanked the energy company for their contribution, saying they were “pleased that JPS have followed through on their commitment and this paves the way for the new season as we prepare for the new Premier League season starting in September; the new CFU season and hopefully on to CONCACAF.”

“We hope it serves as an indication to other corporate entities to come on board and to support football in western Jamaica and MBU, as we prepare to win even more titles,” Christie added.

Ruel Barnett of JPS said they were serious about partnering with the community in meaningful ways, adding that working with MBU was one of the many ways they were involved.
