A bid to replace Dr Omar Davies
Former Member of Parliament Colin Campbell launched his bid to succeed Dr Omar Davies as Member of Parliament for St Andrew South at a meeting in Jones Town last Thursday. Davies is expected to demit office by August of this year, on health grounds. Campbell, who has served as general secretary of the Opposition People’s National Party as well as Cabinet minister, will likely go up against attorney-at-law and Leader of Opposition Business in the Senate Mark Golding, when Davies quits. Here are some scenes from the launch.
