Another dismal display in 400m by Rusheen McDonald
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s National 400m record holder Rusheen McDonald once again turned in a dismal display, finishing eighth in the men’s 400m in 46.82 seconds at the PreFontaine Classic meeting in Eugene, Oregon, today.
Saturday’s performance follows a seventh place finish in the event at the Rabat Diamond League in Morocco, on Sunday, in a pedestrian 46.79 seconds.
The race was won by Grenada’s Kirani James in 44.22 seconds ahead of American Lashawn Merritt with 44.39 seconds.
James now leads the head-to-head with his great rival Merritt 12-7.
Isaac Makwala of Botswana was third in 45.37 seconds ahead of Machel Cedino of Trinidad and Tobago in 45.45 seconds.
