Read Across Jamaica
The Bahia Principe Team in partnership with the Spanish-Jamaican Foundation visited the St. Ann’s Bay Primary School for the Annual Read Across Jamaica Day initiative. The group of nine members of staff and two hotel guests spent the morning reading Spanish books to grades one, two and three of the St. Ann school.
Social Relations Manager, Farrah Blake called it ‘an honour to be a part of this islandwide initiative geared towards improving literacy among our children’. She lauded the Read Across Jamaica Foundation for its foresight and the Spanish-Jamaican Foundation for its mission to enhance the Spanish content in schools.
The Read Across Jamaica Foundation (RAJF) Founder and a few of her Ambassadors paid a courtesy visit and had lunch with us at one of our newly constructed restaurants – the Jazmin.
