Weekly Round-up: Deadly lovers’ quarrel… Teacher, security injured during brawl…Delus is dead
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 25-year-old man is dead and a 22-year-old female student from the Cayman Islands is battling for life after yet another lovers’ quarrel in St Elizabeth.
Police identified the dead man as Kevin Dennis of Negril, Westmoreland, who had a visiting relationship with the critically injured woman who lived at Luana, just outside Black River in south-west St Elizabeth.
The woman’s name was not been released.
Meanwhile, a teacher and a security manager were hospitalised following a dispute on the compound of the St Andrew High School for Girls Tuesday night.
The security manager, who is said to be a student’s parent, was allegedly stabbed by the teacher during the incident. The injured man then pulled his firearm, shooting the teacher.
Both were attendees to the school’s grade 13 farewell service.
At the same time, dancehall artiste Delmark Spence, popularly known as Delus, is dead.
It is alleged that the entertainer, who is the older brother of dancehall artiste Konshens, shot himself at his Havendale, St Andrew home Wednesday evening.
