Cosmos and Canvas opens in Montego Bay
A new dimension has been added to Montego Bay’s burgeoning entertainment scene with the official opening of Cosmos and Canvas on the city’s popular Hip Strip (Gloucester Ave) last Saturday.
The concept allows patrons to receive art lessons and step-by-step instructions in painting a chosen piece while sipping on choice selections of wine.
“It is a fun, relaxed and interesting event perfect for groups or date night and at the end of the night you get to leave with a piece of art created by you,” explained Damon Gopie, co-owner of Cosmos and Canvas.
“We also incorporate a Jamaican theme in all our chosen pieces, either well-known Jamaican icons or beautiful scenes from all over the island, plus little tidbits of Jamaican history is also thrown in,” Gopie added.
“These events are very popular in America and we are happy that we could be a part of bringing this concept to Montego Bay, and we were also able to add some Jamaican flavour to it. We are happy for people to come out and explore their artistic side and have some fun in the process,” Gopie said further.
