D Star Incredible hoping for Sunshine

US-BASED dancehall deejay D Star Incredible is hoping to brighten his career with his latest single titled Sunshine.

Released on May 2, Sunshine is produced by Ahness Bread Records.

“The song has a good vibes to it. It has the ability to bring the young and the old into a dancing frenzy when it’s being played. It’s loving the females species,” he told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.

D Star Incredible said the song has the potential to be a summer hit, if it gets the right boost.

“It’s a blessing so far. Things are really looking good for this song and it’s getting a lot of rotation and love. I have been putting a lot of hard work and promotion on this single,” he said.

According to the deejay, Sunshine is the first single from his upcoming five-track EP entitled Mr Incredible. That set is slated for a year-end release.

Born in St Mary, D Star Incredible (given name Odane Tyrell) migrated to the United States a year and half ago.

Since his relocation, he has been focusing intently on his musical career.

“I want a career that lasts longer than Bob Marley’s own,” he said.

He was one of the acts scheduled to perform on Hotta Rice Birthday Bash in Kingston last night.

“I’m going to deliver an incredible performance… and introduce the fans to my unreleased single, Bumpa Big,” he added.
