Karl Blythe to challenge Portia for PNP presidency
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Former Westmoreland Central MP Dr Karl Blythe has been nominated to run against Portia Simpson Miller for president of the People’s National Party (PNP).
Blythe reportedly submitted his nomination form to the PNP secretariat today.
Deputy General Secretary for the party, Julian Robinson, this afternoon confirmed with OBSERVER ONLINE that the former PNP vice-president will challenge Simpson Miller. Blythe recently asked Simpson Miller for a departure timetable at a PNP National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.
