NIA Southern Basketball League semis on today
The National Integrity Action Southern Basketball League semi-finals move into the dreaded deciding, game three eliminator at separate venues today, starting at 7:00 pm.
Pembroke Hall Warriors will face Exed Heats in one semi-final at the Pembroke Hall Courts, while defending champions Arnett Gardens Rockers will entertain the Spanish Town Spartans in the other semi-final game at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex Courts.
This follows contrasting results in the game two matches played on Sunday, in which Pembroke Hall Warriors thumped Exed Heats 70-66 with Andrew Whilby scoring 15 points and snatching12 rebounds. Leighton Meeks also logged another 14 points for the winners.
Cordell Grant with 23 points and Rohan Robinson with 15 points and nine rebounds replied for the Heats.
In Sunday’s other contest at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, Spanish Town Spartans outscored defending champions Arnett Gardens Rockers 75- 68. Javon Bailey led the way for the winners with 20 points and 13 rebounds, with Damion Johnson also contributing 15 points.
Kwame Lawrence with 23 points and 10 rebounds and Omar Barnes with 14 points, led the resistance from Arnett Rockers.
