Dunn’s River Falls gets another TripAdvisor recognition

DUNN’s River Falls and Park in St Ann has received the TripAdvisor 2016 Certificate of Excellence for a second-consecutive year.

Now in its sixth year, the award celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

“Earning this accolade for the second-consecutive year is a source of pride for the team, and we intend to make it a trend. The voices of our guests are among the strongest sources of instruction for us. We take this as a message to continue to elevate service standards so that patrons will always treasure the Dunn’s River experience,” said Jomo Pitterson, manager of Dunn’s River Falls and Park.

The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews, and must have been listed on TripAdvisorfor at least 12 months. Dunn’s River Falls has been listed on TripAdvisor since 2012.

“With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers,” said Heather Leisman, vice-president of industry marketing at TripAdvisor. “This recognition helps travellers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travellers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”

The announcement comes on the heels of the attraction receiving the 2016 Expert’s Choice Award from TripExpert. This award is based on reviews written by professionals for major travel guides, magazines, newspapers, and other respected publications. TripExpert brings together these reviews and provides a snapshot of what the experts think are the best places to stay, eat, and visit around the world.

Ranking number 1 on US News’ list of the Best Things to Do in Jamaica, Dunn’s River Falls is undergoing continuous development to maintain its world-famous reputation. The latest project, which is approaching completion, is the construction of the Dunn’s River Falls Central Gardens. It is expected that this new feature will further enhance the customer experience by adding another source of enjoyment to suit the diverse market.

The falls is managed by the Urban Development Corporation through the St Ann Development Company.
