Trinidadian appointed resident high court judge in St Kitts
BASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC – Trinidadian-born Queen’s Council Trevor M Ward has been appointed resident high court judge in St Kitts Nevis.
On Tuesday, Attorney General Vincent F Byron said Ward’s appointment has been approved by the Judicial and Legal Services Commission of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
Ward previously served as former Director of Public Prosecutions in the Cayman Islands and senior state counsel of the Office of the DPP in Trinidad and Tobago.
With this appointment, he succeeds another Trinidadian – Justice Marlene Ida Carter, who resigned as High Court Judge from the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, earlier this month.
