A send-off for ambassador Marks
Ambassador Audrey Marks, who was scheduled to leave Jamaica yesterday to take up her assignment as Jamaica’s Ambassador to the United States and permanent representative to the Organization of American States in Washington, DC, was feted at a farewell reception held for her on the grounds of Vale Royal, official residence of the prime minister, Friday evening.
The event was organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Jamaica, with support from Becky Stockhausen and Natalie St Louis, saw well-wishers from a wide cross section of the Jamaican society bidding Ambassador Marks farewell, as she embarks on her second journey as Ambassador to the US. Among the speakers were Prime Minister Andrew Holness, and US Ambassador to Jamaica Luis J Moreno and AMCHAM President Ron McKay.
