Two guns, ammunition found in police operations
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have reported that two guns and several rounds of ammunition were found in separate instances in Portmore and Kingston yesterday.
Lawmen, who were a part of a joint police/military cordon and search operation on West Street in Kingston, found two .38 revolvers, six .38 cartridges and five explosives. The four hour operation started at 4:30 am.
Then, between 12:00 midday and 3:00 pm, the Portmore Police found thirty-three .38 cartridges between two sheets of zinc at a property on Valencia Way in Portmore, St Catherine.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizures.
Investigations continue.
