KINGSTON, Jamaica – It will be a moment of truth for a number of teams as they seek a second-round berth in another packed schedule in the penultimate lot of Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/FLOW Manning Cup first-round fixtures on Monday.

All 17 games across the seven groups are set to kick off at 3:30 pm.

One group that will be on the radar is the hotly contested Group G, where the battle between third-placed Hydel (15 points) and fourth-placed Calabar (15 points) at the latter’s Red Hills Road base will take the spotlight.

Victory for the Ferry-based Hydel would set them up nicely to secure the second available spot from the group as they have one crucial contest against second-placed St Jago (16 points) to come at a later date.

However, though Calabar is currently out of contention, the Donovan Duckie-coached Hydel are not expected to have a safe passage without a fight and the task at hand might just prove even more difficult now than it was before.

Hydel is by far the most attacking team in the group, netting 31 times, 27 of which came against lesser opponents and with the scoreline being 2-1 in favour of their opponents in a previous meeting, it is anybody’s guess what the outcome in tomorrow’s contest will be.
