MBU seek to rebound in RSPL
Defending champions Montego Bay United (MBU) will seek to rebound from last Sunday’s loss to Humble Lion when they host last-placed Harbour View at WesPow Park, starting at 3:00pm, in Sunday’s round of matches in the Red Stripe Premier League football competition.
Playing without four regular starters, including strikers Allan Ottey and Dino Williams, MBU lost 1-2 at Humble Lion — their second loss in five games — and fell from second to fifth place in the points standing.
Ottey, Williams, defender Ladale Richie and midfielder Dwayne Ambusley are part of the Reggae Boyz team that played against Guyana in a Caribbean Cup qualification game in Georgetown on Tuesday, thus missing the game in Effortville last Sunday.
The players are expected back in time for Sunday’s game against Harbour View, a team rooted to the foot of the table with two other KSAFA teams, Boys’ Town and Waterhouse, all on three points.
