UPDATE: Windies women 155 all out at lunch
KINGSTON, Jamaica — West Indies Women were bowled out by their England counterparts for 155 runs in the fifth and final One-Day International here at Sabina Park.
Captain Stafanie Taylor top-scored with 57 — her third half century of the series.
England left-arm spinner Alex Hartley snatched 4-24, while pacer Katherine Brunt grabbed 3-35.
England is expected to start their run-chase after the innings break.
The series is tied 2-2 after the teams shared honours over the previous four encounters.
So far this series, the team that has won the toss has chosen to bat first and has won each time.
The last three games of this ODI series count toward qualification to the next year’s ICC Women’s World Cup to be contested between the top eight international teams. The top four sides on points will earn automatic places to the tournament.
Australia, top of the championship table on 30 points, are already qualified to the Women’s tournament. West Indies are second with 22 points, while England are a point behind in third. Fourth-placed New Zealand have 20 points.
