#X6MurderTrial: Court takes recess to sort exhibit photos
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The murder trial of businessman Patrick Powell is currently on a short break for the Crown to sort through photographs that will be submitted as exhibits in the trial.
A number of photographs were submitted on a disc but the defence has requested that only the ones that the parties have agreed on be shown.
Powell is being tried for murder and shooting with intent in the 2011 killing of 17-year-old former Kingston College student Khajeel Mais.
The defence team yesterday painted Mais as a troubled teenager who was suspended from school, on more than one occasions, and had a matter in the Juvenile Court.
The teen’s mother was first to take the witness stand and broke down in tears as she recounted her son’s death.
