Big Sean drops new music
Big Sean goes off on two brand new tracks he dropped on Monday.
On
Bounce Back he raps, “Last night took an L, but tonight I bounce back /Wake up every morning, by the night I count stacks”.
In typical Sean Don style he confesses he’s a workaholic and skirts around a bit of Kanye-type confidence and arrogance, “Betting on me is the right risk / Even in a crisis”
This song is easily an anthem of sorts for anyone that’s taken an L or two and is determined to #BounceBack.
On
No More Interviews, Big Sean does some production alongside Amaire Johnson, and airs his frustration with stupid questions and speculation.
He addresses talk about his ex (most likely Naya Rivera who he was once engaged to), his label status, rumoured beef with him and Kid Cudi and G.O.O.D Music.
The style is entirely confessional and lyrical, and while Sean decries rumours, gossip and shade, he proves he can throw it with the best of them.
We can’t help but wonder who he was thinking of when he rapped, “And I’m just not impressed by you niggas rapping fast / Who sound like one big asthma attack but trash when I’m rapping it back / Who you put in your top five and claim they the saviour of rap”. Or was it just some friendly ribbing?
