Hardcore fun in the ‘Mud’

JEEP Jamaica’s first Mud Jamboree for 2016 was held at JJ’s Off Road Park in Temple Hall, St Andrew, on October 30. It was a success, according to event organiser Craig Powell.
“It was excellent and provided a day of fun for all,” Powell told
Auto.
The Mud Jamboree was mainly a testing ground for next year’s Jamaica Off-Road Challenge (JORC) series.
“We partnered with the venue owners for this event as we’re looking for a new spot to host hopefully two competitive JORC events next year,” he explained further.
Towards that effort, there were several off-road staples set up such as a mud pit, log crawl, tank trap, hill climb and a rock section. Participants were allowed free rein over the obstacles for the whole day.
“We’ll be returning later this month and plan to add a bit more competition to it by staging a time trial,” said Powell.
