“Unearthing the full potential of Jamaica’s children”
The St. Elizabeth Technical High School, STETHS, has made steady strides in earning its status as one of Jamaica’s finest academic institutions. A skill based institution; STETHS has always tailored its curriculum to maximize learning outcomes of successive cohorts since 1958.
Your numerous achievements in sports and other extracurricular activities suggest that the school is not only focused on academic excellence but has successfully pursued the holistic development of boys and girls in Santa Cruz and its environs. It is no doubt that this institution continues to produce individuals of the highest calibre capable of excelling in any profession.
Against this background, I extend heartiest congratulations to the Chairman, Principal, staff, students, parents and the entire St. Elizabeth Technical High School family for 55 years of sterling service.
I salute the hard working teachers who meticulously prepare our students for institutions of higher learning or their chosen profession. It is under your tutelage that past students like Minister of Tourism, Honourable Edmund Bartlett, Olympian Bridgitte Foster Hylton and Former West Indian Cricketer Jerome Taylor developed their exceptional skills and talents.
On the occasion of this significant milestone, I join in your celebrations as you continue to unearth the full potential of Jamaica’s children.
Happy Anniversary!
The Most Hon. Andrew Holness, ON, MP
Prime Minister
