#LocalGovt16: Arscott promises ‘intense’ campaigning ahead of election
CLARENDON, Jamaica — Member of Parliament for Clarendon South Western Noel Arscott is confident of a People’s National Party (PNP) sweep of the four divisions in his constituency.
“We have four candidates who were nominated today. I am happy with the turnout. The persons are enthusiastic and are prepared now to go to the field to do the work to secure victory. I am confident that we will win by a good margin,” Arscott told OBSERVER ONLINE on Friday.
Arscott, who accompanied councilor candidates Godfrey Knight (Toll Gate Division), Uphel Purcell (York Town), Carlton Bailey (Milk River), and Donnatte Donaldson (Race Course Division) to the Osbourne Store Primary and Junior High School in Osbourne Store district where they were nominated, said the campaign leading up to the November 28, Local Government Election would be intense.
“We are going to leave no stones unturned. Politics is politics and we have to ensure that we win,” Arscott added.
