#LocalGovt16: Incident-free Nomination Day in St Elizabeth

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Reports from across St Elizabeth suggested peace, quiet and smooth organisation for Nomination Day proceedings Friday.

“It has been very, very peaceful, no incidents at all,” police chief Superintendent Lansford Salmon told OBSERVER ONLINE.

Reports from nomination centres suggested all had gone well.

Nominations for the November 28 Local Government Election opened at 10:00 am and will close at 2:00 pm.
