Jameik takes step
Buoyed by the positive reception of his song, One Step, singer Jameik King is preparing to release an EP in early 2017.
Like One Step, it will be produced and distributed by British company Flydie Wise Productions.
“I’m very happy about the success of One Step; it has opened up a lot of doors for me. The exposure that I’ve received from the release of this single and video has helped introduce me to fans all over the world,” he said.
Flydie Wise Productions is co-owned by Garthfield Whyte and Jarrell Edwards. One Step was released in July on the label’s New Step rhythm.
It is Jameik King’s most successful song to date.
Born David Anderson, Jameik King is from Berlin, St Thomas. He got into music early, learning the ropes from his older brother Markland ‘Japanese’ Chung and fellow St Thomas native Tarrus Riley.
