I would like to express my appreciation for the level of passion and enthusiasm shown by the participants in this year’s sitting of the Youth Parliament. Being able to witness the dedication of youth leaders in civic participation reinforces the impact that strong youth programmes can have on its participants.
In recognition of Youth Work Week, I also extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the MOEYI, the Houses of Parliament and members of the Youth Advisory Council of Jamaica for the tremendous effort, energy, support, leadership and guidance provided in assisting participants with their preparation. This is the beginning of a yearlong engagement with the 2016 Youth Parliament cohort and I look forward to greater achievements in the future.
