KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Scorpions are 32-1 after losing the toss and being asked to take first strike against Windward Islands Volcanoes in the Professional Cricket League four-day match at Sabina Park on Friday.

Left-hand opener John Campbell, not out on 18, and Devon Thomas, unbeaten on four, are the batsmen at the crease. ?Campbell’s fellow left-hand opener Trevon Griffith was dismissed for six by left-arm pacer Delorn Johnson in overcast morning conditions.

Early lunch was taken when the rains came just after an hour’s play was possible on day one.
