Female murder accused gets bail
The businesswoman accused of killing a man at the Constant Spring Arcade in Kingston was Monday granted bail in the sum of $200,000 when she appeared in the Gun Court section of the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
Katherine Spencer, 43, is charged with the murder of 48-year-old Barrington Walton.
Police reported that on September 28 about 4:30 pm Walton, a resident of Westmoreland, and Spencer, a licensed firearm holder, were involved in an altercation when he was shot dead.
Following a ruling from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, Spencer was charged last Tuesday.
She is to return to court on January 13 next year.
