With Christmas Comes… Cheer?
Oh, how things and times have since changed from one’s childhood. Does anyone remember the true meaning of Christmas?
Do people still attend 6:00am church service on Christmas morning? Hmmm….makes you wonder, don’t?
Back in the day, Christmas was all about the birth of Christ and nowadays to some extent it still reflects Jesus’ birth, oftentimes low key. It should not be so people!
We must always remember the Christmas Story! No matter how old or young you are, the true meaning of Christmas starts right with the story of the birth of Jesus. That by itself should kick off a whole heap a cheer! Rrrraaayyy!!!!
Alright, now the cheer really up deh! The Christmas morning is off to a fantastic start! Church service? Check. Greetings and pleasant salutations to make you feel warm and happy? Check check.
Get home safely and prepare to get down to open all your presents? Double and triple check!!!
Christmas dinner will be served at 4:00pm; the invited family and friends are on their way…let the festivities begin!
Oh man! How can anyone not feel happy and loving and carefree during Christmas time? I don’t get it.
Isn’t Christmas about getting together and sharing the joy? Even if it’s for that one day, spread the cheer nuh? It naah do yuh nothin’!!!
So my peeps, promise yourself that you will not be like Scrooge and say: “Bah! Humbug!” Even Scrooge managed to laugh and carry on like a child when Christmas came around! You can too!
Find that inner childhood of yours…go back down memory lane! You’ll be so surprised at yourself and those around you when they see you and hear the bubbly, cheerful side of you. It a go tun up!!!! Memba mi told yuh!!!
