‘Remote’ meet gets thumbs up
The JAMROCK Remote Control Car Club (JRRCCC) held the second round of the Island Nitro Series at the Sovereign Centre on the Boulevard, Washington Boulevard in St Andrew, last Sunday.
Denise Burton-Clarke, JRRCCC president, gave the meet a thumbs up.
“We had a good race meet,” she told
Jamaica Observer’s Auto magazine.
In the 1/8 scale Nitro GT class, Howard Maitland cashed in his Top Qualifier position for first place, besting Neil Ferguson and Andre Blaine. Michael Clarke did the same in 1/8 scale 4WD Open, leading Raffique Golaub.
The Clarke name again headed the leaderboard in 1/10 scale Nitro Sedan as Burton-Clarke took first place, followed by Franklin Thomas and Lascelles Ellis.
“Our racers continue to improve on the mechanical set-ups of their cars and are therefore able to focus on their driving skills,” she added.
The club will next host round three of the Island Electric Series on December 18.
