#LocalGovt16: PNP ahead in Clarendon SE, says Barnswell
CLARENDON, Jamaica — Incumbent councillor for the Hayes Division and Mayor of May Pen, Scean Barnswell, says that the People’s National Party are ahead in majority of the polling stations in Hayes, Clarendon South East.
” We are monitoring the results in the polling stations across the Hayes Division, 27 polling stations. We are leading in 25 of the polling stations, two of which belongs to the Savannah area, which is predominantly JLP community. I expect that the numbers will remain in the favour of the People’s National Party at the end of poll,” Barnswell said prior to casting his vote at Hayes Primary and Junior High School this morning.
Barnswell is being challenged by the Jamaica Labour Party councilor/candidate Seranford Gallimore.
