Regional cricket: Miller’s 9 wickets spur Scorpions past Red Force
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Captain Nikita Miller took nine consecutive wickets on Saturday to steer Jamaica Scorpions to a relatively comfortable 132-run victory over Trinidad & Tobago Red Force in the Digicel Regional four-day match at Sabina Park.
The slow left-arm orthodox bowler ended with a remarkable 9-41 – his best innings figures in first-class cricket – as the Red Force were bundled over in their second innings for 205 runs, chasing 338 on a wearing pitch.
Miller, who won the player of the match award, is the first bowler to achieve 400 wickets in regional first-class cricket. Records show stands at 401.
