Passage – Delus
Deejay Delus’ suicide in June is arguably the most shocking incident for entertainment in 2016.
Police report that residents of Riverside Drive in Havendale, St Andrew, alerted them at 7:00 pm June 23, after hearing an explosion from the artiste’s apartment.
They found Delus’s body in his bathroom with a gunshot wound to the head. The 35-year-old was the older brother of deejay Konshens.
The tragedy triggered instant rumours that Delus (real name Delmark Spence) had domestic problems with his common-law spouse which caused him to snap.
Though not as popular as Konshens, Delus had his share of success with songs like What Tomorrow May Bring, Sticky Ah Road, Another Gal, True Love and Come Ova (with Patra).
He had recently released an EP, Public Relation.
His thanksgiving service at the Church of the Resurrection in Duhaney Park on July 23 drew a packed house.
