Motorist crashes into utility pole in Hanover, dies

HANOVER, Jamaica — A 56-year-old labourer has succumbed to injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle crash in Hanover, yesterday.

Dead is Leslie Jumpp of Crabwood Lane in Hopewell, Hanover.

Reports from the Lucea police are that about 2:25 pm, Jumpp was driving his Toyota Yaris motor car along the Sandy Bay main road when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.

He was assisted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
