Seeking My Dream tops overall earnings
Following his rather easy win in the Diamond Mile on Saturday last, Seeking My Dream has now soared to the top of the overall lifetime earnings list.
Based on figures received from the Jamaica Racing Commission, Seeking My Dream was just able to move ahead of former Triple Crown winner, Mark My Word.Seeking My Dream, who was winning his second consecutive Diamond Mile, the richest race on the calendar, had also won the Jamaica Derby and multiple Grade One races.
Seeking My Dream has so far in his glittering career won 10 races and has been unplaced only once from 19 starts.Mark My Word won 16 races from 25 starts during his illustrious time on the racetrack.
Occupying third spot is former Derby and St Leger winner Perfect Neighbour, thereby giving trainer Wayne DaCosta two horses in the top three.
The first filly on the list of top 20 overall earners is former sprint queen St Cecelia, who is now a broodmare. The horse registering the most wins on the list is Nasatol, who racked up a phenomenal 36 wins from 123 starts.
After winning, during the course of this season, the Lotto Classic run for Governor’s Cup, the St Leger, the Superstakes and finishing second in the Diamond Mile, Bigdaddykool enters the top 20 for the first time in position number 16.
On the list of top 20 overall earners, there are five horses still running: Seeking My Dream, Perfect Neighbour, Bigdaddykool, Franfield and Hover Craft.
