Close shave
Two policemen on patrol in this service vehicle escaped injury just before mid-day yesterday when a gunman fired on them in east Kingston.
The Jamaica Observer was told that the cops had stopped at a service station at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Upper Elletson Road when they noticed a man who ran on seeing them.
The man fell and the cops saw a bulge in his waist. But before they could do anything he pulled a firearm and shot at them. One bullet went through the front windshield.
The policemen returned the fire but the man escaped through an old cemetery across the street.
