Prisoner stabbed at magistrate’s court
GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) – The police are investigating an incident in which a prisoner was stabbed early yesterday.
The police report that Colvin Johnson, 34, also known as ‘Gun-But’ was in a holding cell at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court when the incident happened.
Johnson was then rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
According to
Demerara Waves, the details were not known as prisoners in the cell remained silent on what transpired.
The prisoner was reportedly stabbed to the side and beaten, suffering a broken nose.
