Rain shifts Red Rose for Gregory to Valentine’s Day
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Red Rose for Gregory concert has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Valentine’s Day).
The show, initially planned for Constant Spring Golf Club in St Andrew on Sunday, was postponed because of the heavy rains.
“The show is now slated for Jamaica College Auditorium on Hope Road on Valentine’s Day. Tickets are still valid and show time is still at 8:00 pm,” said June Isaacs, event organiser and widow of reggae singer Gregory Isaacs. “The line-up is still the same”.
Red Rose For Gregory features American Rhythm and Blues group Atlantic Starr, PaKaGe (Gem Myers, Karen Smith, Patricia Edwards), Robert Minott, Yvad, Christopher Martin, Ikaya, D Major, Kaydeno, and Steven “Cat” Coore of Third World.
Reggae singer Gregory Isaacs died in October 2010 at age 60.
