Man gets upset and destroys lover’s blender
A man was hauled before the court for hurling his girlfriend’s blender into a wall and shattering it to pieces.
Jowayne Wiliams was, however, freed of a charge of malicious destruction of property after he gave the complainant $4,000 in court to replace the blender.
Judge Pettigrew-Collins, before admonishing and discharging the matter, asked William why he destroyed the blender.
“I was just upset,” he answered.
But the judge told him: “The blender didn’t cause you to get upset. You weren’t upset with it, so why destroy it?”
Pettigrew-Collins then warned Williams to find other ways to deal with his anger, as he would not have had to fork out $4,000, appear in court, and embarrass himself had he done so.
“Don’t act that way when you are upset next time,” she told him before he left the court.
