Jamaica Day @ Manchester High School
MANDEVILLE, Manchester – Schools at all levels of the education system celebrated Jamaica Day on Friday, February 24.
According to the Government information arm — the Jamaica Information Service — Jamaica Day is celebrated annually as part of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information’s effort to instil the spirit of nationalism that is necessary for the social and cultural development of the country.
The theme for this year’s celebration was “Celebrating Jamaica: Exploring Our Legacy in a Global Context”.
