The Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association (JMA) has a rich history of hosting significant and notable events that honors, links and stimulates manufacturing locally and internationally. In 1948 and 1968, respectively, the JMA hosted its first local expo and its first Annual Awards Banquet. In the year of its 70th Anniversary, the JMA continues to be a pioneer in its field, with the launch of the inaugural Jamaica International Exhibition (JIE).

One of the main objective on which the JMA was established in 1947 is to promote and conduct industrial shows that: showcase products connected with or pertaining to the manufacturing industry; promote the use of products manufactured in Jamaica and elsewhere; and assist members in securing markets for both raw materials and finished products. This is what the JIE is exactly about. On June 1-3, 2017 at the Montego Bay Convention Center the JMA will execute a multi-sectoral international trade show which will connect Jamaica to the rest of the world and the rest of the world to us. The JIE is the platform where Jamaica marks our stamp as the place of choice to do business in the Caribbean.
