NWA working to clear roadblocks in St Andrew
THE National Works Agency (NWA) said yesterday that teams were mobilised to deal with multiple landslides in sections of St Andrew, as heavy rains continued to affect some communities.
According to NWA spokesman Stephen Shaw, the main road from St Christopher to Glengoffe was blocked, while the roads from Stony Hill to Toms River and Nolan Hill to Border were impacted by multiple landslides, reducing them to single lane in sections. The communities of Essex Hall, Cavaliers and Burnt Shop were also inaccessible from either Fingerpost or Lawrence Tavern Square, as three massive landslides affected the corridor.
