Following inquiries held on Tuesday at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, the stewards are announcing the following disciplinary actions.
Jockey Bebeto Harvey who rode:1 –
Indy Arazi in the fourth race on Saturday, February 11, 2017 was fined $4,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to
Tata Tee in the vicinity of the 200-metre point; and,2 –
Uncle Vinnie in the third race on Saturday, March 25, 2017 was fined $4,000.00 for intimidation caused to
Musketoon in the vicinity of the 300-metre point.Jockey Melissa Ward, who rode
Another Fury in the third race on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, was fined $6,000.00 for intimidation and interference caused to
Francia’s Pride approaching the 400-metre point.Jockey Omar Walker, who rode
Princess Katriel in the first race on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, was cautioned for intimidation and interference caused to
Jamaican Pharoah and
Willowdeen approaching the 800-metre point.Jockey Ruja Lahoe, who rode
Silence in the fifth race on Saturday, April 15, 2017, was duly summoned but failed to appear. Lahoe was suspended until he appears before the stewards.
