Gas prices up $2.09, diesel up $0.93
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists should see an increase at the pumps in the price of gasoline and an increase in the price of diesel, effective Thursday, May 18, according to the latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.
87- and 90-octane gasoline will be sold for $110.43 and $113.27 per litre, respectively, up by $2.09 each.Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $105.93 per litre following an increase of $0.93, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is up by $0.19, and will be sold for $110.96 per litre.Meanwhile, kerosene increased in price by $0.54 and will be sold for $87.96 per litre.Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $42.53 per litre, up by $0.36 and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $47.32 per litre after an increase of $0.74.Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-up to these prices.
