Bad Royale for EDX show on July 1
THIS year’s EDX show (EDX Touch Down) is scheduled for July 1 at Seventh Harbour on the Palisadoes strip in St Andrew.
It will also make its debut in the United States Virgin Islands on June 3 at the Sugar Bay Resort and Spa.Bad Royale, a leading Electronic Dance Music (EDM) quartet from California, will headline both events, Mark Tracey, co-founder of EDX, told
Splash.He added that the positive response to last year’s event in St Ann triggered interest among EDM fans in the USVI island of St Thomas.“A promoter from St Thomas received rave reviews about last year’s show and he reached out to us….and as they say, the rest is history,” said Tracey.The St Thomas leg is dubbed ‘EDX — Full Flight’ and is endorsed by the island’s tourist board. Also on the bill is Christopher Martin; DJ Blak, a EDM and soca DJ from St Thomas; and Rocalypso pioneer John Gazi.Bad Royale also performed at last year’s show which was held at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Richmond, St Ann. Held on July 2, it also featured Barbadian soca queen Alison Hinds and drew a strong crowd.
