Canada-based dancehall artiste Patcha Blacks is confident that his new single titled So Real , will help him to move his career forward.

Released in April by PB Records, the song, he said, has been getting steady rotation in sections of Canada and the United States.“

So Real has the potential to be a big hit. It is about not giving up on someone who you are in love despite the obstacles you may both face in the relationship. There are too many situations about homes being broken apart because of problems that can be resolved,” he told Splash.The singjay, whose real name is Patrick Williams, recently shot a music video for the single. Filmed in Toronto and directed by Marlon Wright of Cyber Leaf Entertainment, the video is slated to be released later this month.“As soon as the video is released, I plan to launch a very strong promotion campaign in Jamaica because once you get the seal of approval from Jamaica, then you’re ready for the world,” he said.Patcha Blacks said he is also working on several new projects that will be released later this year, including an EP.He began his career in his hometown of Bastard Cedar Walk in Westmoreland during the late 1980s, deejaying on a sound system called Dovey Melody.Shortly afterwards, he migrated to Canada where he kept his musical dreams alive by performing on several top Canadian sounds. As time progressed, he was forced to take a break from the music business.He returned to the entertainment scene in 2007 as a producer, working with the likes of JUNO Award nominee Tony Anthony and Spydablem.In 2015, he resumed his recording career.
