KGN 5 rocks New Kingston
THE St Lucia parking lot in New Kingston was transformed into a blazing musical inferno, as KGN 5 pulled out a massive crowd.
Getting to the location was tedious, as traffic snarled right up to the venue.“It was an epic staging. Our patrons have been commenting on social media that it’s the best one to date,” co-promoter Chavaughn O’Neil told the
Jamaica Observer.“The overall vibe was just crazy, non-stop dancing from the females and constant cheering from the males when their favourite tunes were dropped,” he continued.KGN 5 featured a cadre of top sound systems and selectors, who dished out a tasty treat of dancehall potpourri mixed with a serving of hip-hop and rap music.“The musical selection and the overall vibe are what keeps our patrons coming to each staging. Excellent promotion and the unique concept of KGN 5 has been the core factor for its success,” said O’Neil.Di Unit with Badda Bling, DJ Nicco, Rebel Sound with DJs Antsman, Kevez and Koncussion and the Zimi Sound were entrusted to keep patrons moving all night.Among those spotted enjoying the vibes at KGN 5 were members of MAPS, TNS and Portmore Society.KGN 5 will celebrate its third anniversary on October 28 at the same venue.– Kevin Jackson
