65lbs of ganja found at Kingston Freeport Terminal
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Compressed ganja weighing approximately 65.5 pounds was found in a container during an anti-narcotics operation at the Kingston Freeport Terminal yesterday.
According to the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), narcotics detectives and the Jamaica Customs Contraband Enforcement Team (CET) conducted a snap raid at the terminal about 11:30 am.
They searched a container and found 21 parcels of compressed ganja.
The illicit drug is estimated to worth $262,000 on the street.
The police, in its report today, did not say whether or not anyone was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Investigations are ongoing.
