Alyssa Boothe looks to Miss Ja World
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Eighteen-year-old Alyssa Boothe (Miss Bmull Auto), this month, took top spot in the Miss Jamaica World Middlesex pageant here.
The victory has earned her a place in the Miss Jamaica World competition in September.
Boothe also walked away with sectional prizes for best legs, best figure and best smile.
The Belair High School graduate, who is now in preparation mode for the next phase of her journey, told Jamaica Observer Central that taking the title as Miss Jamaica World Middlesex is an “amazing” feeling.
Nineteen-year-old Alana Pennant (Miss Supreme Granites) was first runner-up and copped awards for best talent, most congenial and most aware. Diandre Spence, 18, (Miss Glamour Beauty Chic) was second runner-up.
Franchise holder Nicole Murray said that the pageant, which has been running since 1992, gives all contestants an opportunity for overall growth and development.
Thirteen young women participated in Miss Jamaica World Middlesex this year.
Romain Virgo provided soothing entertainment to patrons who turned out to Golf View Hotel for the show.
Contestants were drawn from Manchester, Clarendon and St Elizabeth
