Miss Teen JA sashing tonight
The elimination and sashing of the Miss Teen Jamaica 2017/2018 contestants will be held at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston, St Andrew, tonight.
The event, the 36th annual contest for girls aged 15 to 19, is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm. It is staged annually by J’Sin Promotions, which was founded by the late Janett Sinclair.
According to Peta Gaye Foster, Sinclair’s daughter and current head of J’Sin Promotions, every effort is being made to continue to improve on the event and encourage young, Jamaican women, who meet the age requirement, to use the event as a stepping to stone to their dreams.
“I am inviting ambitious young women to make use of this opportunity to expose their grace and talent. Miss Teen Jamaica would not have lasted 36 years if we were not making an impact on the lives of young women in Jamaica,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
Sixteen contestants will be chosen for the finals, which will be held on October 28.
